Reflexology...

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, all organs, glands and body systems are represented by "reflex" points. Although a reflexology session is primarily preformed on the feet, reflexology can also be preformed through the hands, ears and face. By applying pressure to these reflex points practitioners can help promote health and balance in the corresponding tissue, organs and systems and move the body forward to healing itself.

Benefits:

Some of the benefits of reflexology include its ability to stimulate nerve function, increases energy, boosts circulation, induces a deep state of relaxation, eliminates toxins, stimulates the central nervous system, prevents migraines, cleans up urinary tract conditions, speeds recovery after injury or surgery, helps relieve sleep disorders, reduces depression, and relieves pain.

What will I feel?

Most people find reflexology to be very relaxing.

The pressure sends signals that encourage balance to the nervous system, reduce pain and help to alleviate stress.

Some areas may be tender or sore, and the reflexologist may spend extra time and/ or lighten the pressure on those points.

If you're ticklish, not to worry, with the perfect pressure to the feet normally eliminates this reaction.
